Employer Partner FAQ
Employer Partner/Training Agent FAQs
A: No. If your organization is not union-represented, we ask that you complete our neutrality agreement. If you are represented by another union, please let us know and we would be happy to discuss options.
A: No. We acknowledge each organization is different, whether by size or supervision capacity. As long as there is consistent communication, we can accommodate.
A: Once agreements are signed, our biggest ask from an organization’s management is to have a quarterly meeting with our executive team. We also email you before each cohort to inform you of the intended new apprentices. UWH sees this as an opportunity to connect and ensure all new apprentices are in good standing and you’re aware of all new activity.
A: We primarily work with HR managers, Directors of Behavioral Health Departments, and sometimes supervisors. We tend to work with the same group before and after program implementation. At any point, you are welcome to include more members of your team or indicate to us who needs to be communicated to for specific information.
A: No catch! UWH’s mission is to provide equitable and accessible education for those wanting to advance their career in behavioral health. There is an incredible need in Oregon for more workers and we see free education as the solution to getting people into the field and retaining them. The only cost to your organization is the salary and benefits you’re already paying your employees. There is no cost to the apprentice, ever.
A: We are currently funded through state and federal grants.
