Qualified Mental Health Professional
Qualified Mental Health Professional Apprenticeship (QMHP)
For those with a Bachelor’s degree working in community mental health, the QMHP Apprenticeship is an exciting new option as they look to advance in their career. Apprentices obtain a Master’s in Counseling degree while continuing to work in a direct-service role, gaining valuable on-the-job training experience.
This is a full-time, 2-3 year program that provides students with all the education and supervision needed to earn their QMHP credential through MHACBO, Oregon’s credentialing agency. United We Heal pays all tuition costs and supports apprentices throughout their internship and practicum.
Once certified as a QMHP, our graduates will have the opportunity to receive wage increases and career advancement in community mental health. Qualified Mental Health Professionals provide behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy, mental health assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, case management, service coordination, and psychosocial skills training.

Our programs emphasize hands-on training through paid employment while participants learn new skills, achieve industry-recognized certifications, and advance their careers, while minimizing student debt.
Our programs are strategically designed to pave a path for folks who previously didn’t have opportunities/access to step into the healthcare workforce. This ensures that individuals who would not otherwise have had opportunities to advance into higher paid and licensed occupations can do so, and that this will positively impact the ability to provide care that resonates with clients needs.
These programs are funded in whole or in part by the U.S. Department of Labor. We are equal opportunity employers/programs.
